More ripples and textures – this time in the water, resulting in a softer image.  It almost looks like the water is gently simmering.

Trying to catch the ripples proved an interesting challenge!  After some experimentation, I set the ISO to 1600 so that I could “up” the shutter speed and attempt to freeze time and motion.

This photo was taken on the same day as those “Ripples in the Sand” at Yellowcraig Beach, west of North Berwick.  If I think back to that day – the reasons for taking these photos was because I wanted some abstract beach pictures to hang up in my bathroom. I haven’t quite got to printing and framing yet.. one day, one day!
