This year saw the opening of the first Field of Remembrance in Edinburgh, organised by Poppyscotland.
I confess to not knowing about it until I walked past it early this afternoon. I know about it now, though. It is located at the foot of the Scott Monument on Princes Street.
Edinburgh is also where the Lady Haig’s Poppy Factory is located where the ex-servicemen, who work there, produce a staggering 5 million poppies, by hand, each year.
